Turkey Mountain Urban Wilderness
Turkey Mountain Urban Wilderness is a rugged park of over 300 acres just a few miles from vibrant downtown Tulsa. The landscape creates a feeling of being far removed from city life, where visitors can enjoy native buckhorn and blackjack hems surrounded by a dense canopy containing oak, hickory, redbud, and other species. This area of River Parks stretches north-south from Interstate 44 to 71st Street and east from Elwood Avenue to the Arkansas River.
Turkey Mountain’s highest point is within the park, it is 300 feet above the river. Turkey Mountain has miles of winding dirt roads and two large ponds. These features date back long before the land was acquired for public use. The main car park, restrooms, and trailhead are located at 67 and South Elwood. Nearby has three covered pavilions, subject to availability. There is also a climbing rock for children. Two bronze wildlife sculptures from the park, the Rio Grande Turkey and the Rocky Mountain Bighorn, decorate the entrance.

41st Street Plaza
41st Street Plaza is an exciting recreational destination for families, featuring multiple interactive water features, playgrounds, picnic areas, covered gazebos, restrooms, and river views. The $2.8 million Plaza was funded entirely privately by Tulsa-based QuikTrip Corporation as a major contributor to commemorate its 50th anniversary of the company and its employees and their families.
The Plaza’s fountains and splashing pools will delight children of all ages and provide a refreshing respite during the hot Oklahoma summers. Water features typically operate from 9 am to 9 pm from May to September, with short periodic shutdowns for water treatment. A large playground has equipment suitable for both younger and older children, and a nearby grassy play pyramid provides even more fun. Visitors can enjoy picnics in the ample park furniture and covered pavilions. River views, parking, and restrooms host seasonal events such as the local children’s library system’s Summer Reading Roadshow. Complete the facility of the plaza that will be used.

River Parks
River Parks is a park landscape that ranges from well-kept lawns to the rugged terrain of the Turkey Mountain Urban Wilderness. River Parks has two hiking trails for walking and biking, and also offers seasonal fishing, boating, kayaking, disc golf, a sandbar restaurant, and an outdoor cafe yard bar.
Turkey Mountain’s 45 miles of dirt trails are great for hiking, mountain biking, and trail running. Twenty-six miles (26 miles) of paved trails at River Parks offer excellent outdoor recreation. Meander along the banks of the Arkansas River in Tulsa, past gathering places, playgrounds, fountains, and sculptures. Woodward Park and Gardens
Woodward Park and Gardens is located 3 miles (5 km) from downtown Tulsa and is surrounded by neighborhoods established in the 1920s and 1930s, such as the Terwilleger Heights Historic District, the Swan Lake Historic District, and the Maple Ridge Historic District. covers approximately 45 acres.
Woodward Park and Gardens Historic District are listed on the National Register of Historic Places as one of the finest examples of public gardens created in Tulsa in the first half of the 20th century. Designed by architect Noble B. Fleming, this Italian Renaissance mansion has been home to the Tulsa Garden Center since 1954. Both were founded in the 1930s with public funds and built by workers enrolled in the Workers’ Relief Program.
