Dulce Vida Mexican Restaurant
Dulce Vida Mexican Restaurant was founded in 2018 by the married couple R1 La Esencia and Nelly Olivares in Miami Beach, Florida. After coming to Miami with her husband, Nelly, who was born in Mexico and reared in Dallas, Texas, noticed the demand for delicious, authentic Mexican food. She kept looking but was always let down by bland salsas and bland food. When R1’s friends from other nations came to visit, Nelly just began cooking more frequently at home for them since they all shared a similar trait. “You guys should create a restaurant, Miami needs this flavor,” would be the unanimous response.
