El Basha Mediterranean Grill
El Basha Mediterranean Grill is a Lebanese restaurant in Omaha, Nebraska. Its main goal is to provide you with the greatest Mediterranean cuisine meals possible. They also provide catering, take-out orders, and outdoor seats. The names “El Basha” or “The Basha” were coined in the early 1900s to designate the upper society of the Ottoman and Turkish empires. The term can alternatively be pronounced as “Pasha.” The title “Basha” denoted a specific social position and level of knowledge.
Wearing a tarboosh or Fez distinguished the Basha. The tarboosh, like the flag, was a national symbol. At the Turkish court, in the civil service, in the army and police, and even among ambassadors overseas, it was standard procedure.

Ahmad’s Persian Cuisine is Omaha’s only Persian restaurant and one of just a few in the area that serves outstanding Middle Eastern cuisine.
