Clothes To Kids of Denver
Clothes To Kids of Denver distributes free new and gently used apparel to students or crisis-affected families in the Denver Metro Area. Jode Eye and Marie McClung experienced firsthand how inadequate clothes were a barrier to achievement for low-income children and youth as school volunteers. Following some study, the two women noticed a significant need for clothing for students in their region and collaborated to establish the first Clothes to Kids in Florida in 2002.
CTKD now provides hundreds of free school wardrobes to students from low-income families each month and has established a strong reputation among schools, shelters, human service agencies, hospitals, clinics, and faith communities throughout the Denver Metro Area, who have come to rely on CTKD to meet the clothing needs of students.
