“Some of the best sushi I have had in the area. The tuna was gorgeous and the salmon didn’t have the overwhelming Lakey taste some have. Price was also incredibly reasonable on their house sushi combos. The presentation was 10/10 as well. Wonderfully extra, without being tacky.” – Taylor B.
Brookside Sushi, in 1990 Salvador came to Kansas City and found his first job at Kabuki Japanese Restaurant in Crown Center. Despite not speaking English, Salvador worked his way up from washing dishes to rolling sushi within three years and has not stopped. “So Good! New favorite place for Hibachi! Only been once but had steak and shrimp. The rice was seasoned and had the best flavor anywhere. Butterfly Shrimp was cooked with lemons and seasoning and was Delicious! The only thing I would say is the steak could’ve used some extra seasoning but the sauces helped out with that. And next time I can ask for extra seasoning! By far the best place I’ve tried in a couple of years! Can’t wait to go again!” – Melissa B.
