Angelo’s Italian Restaurant – Wichita
Angelo’s Italian Restaurant – Wichita was founded by Angelo and Ann Fasciano. The couple, who moved to Derby, Kansas from Derby, Connecticut in 1952 started cooking and delivering pizzas out of their home in 1958. A year later they opened their first location at Laura and Pawnee and then moved to their longest-standing location at the intersection of Harry and Hillside. Over the years there were other Angelo’s locations serving Wichita including East Kellogg, West Street, Amidon, and West Central. Angelo’s long-standing reputation was made on signature dishes made from scratch with fresh ingredients.

Savute’s Italian Ristorante
Savute’s Italian Ristorante is delighted to be serving third and fourth generations of the same families who have eaten on North Broadway for more than 60 years. As such Savute’s is proud to be called the oldest Italian restaurant operating in Wichita. The restaurant’s business was moved to the present location in 1952 at 3303 N Broadway. Seating was expanded to the area covered by the front dining room, and a larger kitchen allowed many more clienteles to sample authentic Italian meals and sauces. In 1960 the name “Rosie’s” was changed to “Savute’s”. Since then other renovations have happened, making the total seating capacity 245.
