Immunize El Paso
Immunize El Paso is a healthcare resource for immunizations for those who don’t have a typical medical home or are otherwise unable to get immunizations in a timely manner. They run three physical clinics that house a half-dozen immunization outreach teams that travel throughout West Texas and Southern New Mexico. Immunize El Paso has been coordinating immunization projects throughout the borderland for over 25 years, in collaboration with the El Paso Department of Public Health, the Texas Department of State Health Services, other health advocacy groups, and local school districts.
Immunize El Paso was founded in 1995 by Jill Field, RN, with the goal of serving as a clinic without walls, bringing much-needed immunization treatments to the community. The Immunize El Paso project has administered over 500,000 vaccines to borderland populations since its beginning. On a national level, their achievements as vaccination ambassadors have been recognized and appreciated.
