Palmetto Golf Course is a par-70 championship Miami course that runs parallel to US-1, south of SW 152nd Street. Miami-Dade County acquired the 18-hole course in 1967. It was designed by Dick Wilson and constructed in 1959 by the real estate developers Porter, Russell, and Wagor. This course is both beautiful and difficult to play thanks to the facility’s serpentine canal system, which crosses and runs alongside fairways with trees. The golf course also features a 22-position, lit driving range; lit putting green; a roomy clubhouse; and a well-stocked golf shop. You can hire equipment. Crandon Golf Academy offers junior golf camps, clinics, and golf lessons.

Briar Bay Golf Course
Briar Bay Golf Course is located eight blocks west of US 1 and north of SW 136th Street. The site was created in 1974 by real estate entrepreneur Alec Courtelis based on designs by Bruce Devlin and Robert Von Hagge, and it became playable in January 1975. Briar Bay was purchased by the Parks Department in 1979, and they have been in charge of overseeing it ever since. The course meanders west, north, east, west, south, and then again east as it makes its way back to the clubhouse. Briar Bay hosts around 40.000 rounds of golf each year. It appeals to both experienced and brand-new players and has something for everyone.

There is not a driving range to warm up before a game but they do have a putting green. The staff is very polite, professional and friendly. It is an easy course to walk but they do have carts available to rent.
