Fleurty Girl
Fleurty Girl was innate out of a dream of New Orleans-native, Lauren LeBlanc Haydel in 2009. This single mother of three invested her whole savings of $2,000 into printing t-shirts for women that celebrated New Orleans. She launched her first brick-and-mortar store on storied Oak Street just six months after opening her online company, and she and her family moved into the back of the old shotgun house.
Together with her team, Lauren has a passion for life and a love of New Orleans. The entirety of Fleurty Girl’s inventory is influenced by New Orleans. Alice and Amelia was named by founders JoAnne and Dan after their two grandchildren. Math is Alice’s favorite subject, and she enjoys working out in the gym with her mother. Amelia enjoys swimming and donning her crown. It’s all about the family in small businesses. JoAnne and Dan put out a lot of effort to provide you with high-quality goods from local and international small family businesses.
Their identity or work is not defined by their age. Dan is retired from teaching and a member of the Krewe of Thoth, while JoAnne founded the NOLA Dogs Race to the Rescue 5K after retiring from the insurance industry. They put a lot of effort into improving Alice and Amelia’s shop. They want customers to leave their business satisfied with their purchase and the level of customer care they experienced, not simply with the things they sold.
