Southwood Landscape and Garden Center
Southwood Landscape and Garden Center is the biggest independently owned garden center in Tulsa. In the spring of 1982, Southwood began operations as a small landscape design firm at the corner of 71st Street and Riverside Drive in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The company moved to its current location at Lewis Avenue and 91st Street in 1985. The nursery grew in tandem with Jenks and southwest Tulsa.
Currently covering 5 acres, the garden center has a state-of-the-art greenhouse and wide, friendly walks that invite guests to take a leisurely stroll across the grounds. Younger visitors enjoy riding tricycles in red and blue around the exhibits. In 2022, Southwood will mark its 40th anniversary. Joe and Ginny Schulte, native Tulsans, and their daughters Margaret Schulte and Brenda Baird still run the business as a family.
