Tucson Weekly highlighted them in their Food Truck Diaries in October 2011. With their involvement in the Tucson Meet Yourself event, they reached a watershed moment. Rangel Food has three full-time employees father Alex, mother Montse, and son Alex. Alex is from Mexico and came to America to pursue the American dream of coming over to establish a better life for himself. He worked very hard in several occupations, such as mechanic and kitchen helper, until he realized he enjoyed cooking and that people enjoyed his meals. He and Montse came up with the idea of having a hot dog stand, which evolved into what they now have, a food truck. They have four children and are very involved in the soccer community.
