Eighteenth Street Lounge
Eighteenth Street Lounge subconsciously transformed the face of DC’s dance music scene. Since its start in 1995, The Lounge has been run and curated independently. When owner and Executive Creative Director Farid Nouri launched the Eighteenth Street Lounge in 1995, he saw a need for “enough energy for a party, but also a location where people can mingle in an intimate atmosphere.” Farid’s vision has built a history unrivaled by any other venue in the District after over two decades of elite house parties.

“As I topped the stairs I was transported to a magical space, Victorian parlor meets speak easy, with a few sprinkles of rave. The vibe was chill and but energetic, like meeting friends one has not seen in a while. I met new people and had my soul filled with good music.” – Le Mont Bennett
DC9 Nightclub consists of three floors. After work, their first floor is a terrific spot to come for a drink and some food. On the first level, they have a complete bar as well as various booths where you may chat. Their performance area is on the second floor. On this floor, they feature live bands, DJs, and other activities most evenings. Catch up with up-and-coming acts before they take the stage at larger venues. On any day or evening, the roof terrace is a terrific location to unwind. They keep it open all year. It’s the finest spot to be outside in the summer. They enclose and heat the room in the winter to keep you warm.

“Great place for live music. It is a really small and intimate venue which makes for a much better experience. Bouncer was really nice, drinks are averagely priced, and overall a good experience. Would come to a show here again.” – Daniel Cox
Zeba Bar is much more than a typical bar. At Zeba Bar, we provide more than just delicious food in our lounge. What sets them unique from other local restaurants is that they have a nice hookah room for people who want to sit back, relax, and enjoy some delectable tobacco flavors after a satisfying meal. There are a variety of tastes to explore when eating your kebobs, ranging from delicious banana split to refreshing lemon mint. They are confident that they will have something to appeal to everyone.

“I’ve been to this place numerous times. If you’re keeping a tab open, be vary of accidental charges. But the bartenders, shisha, food, and vibes are fantastic. Shisha lasts a couple of hours, best happy hour ever and great atmosphere. Check out the upper back patio for sure.” – Murtaza Bohra
Flash began as a partnership of long-time music fans, former DJs, and music business veterans in June of 2013. Their objective was to create an intimate environment in which artists could clearly express themselves and fans could hear their favorite performers in a comfortable setting. The Club Level is an acoustically treated studio-quality area with a special Funktion One sound system and a cutting-edge lighting setup to enhance the experience. There’s a good mix of a dancing floor, fully stocked bar, and wall-to-wall bench seating here.

“Great venue with 3 separate levels. Downstairs is free but the upper two levels may require a ticket. The sound system on the second floor is incredible and this place is one of my favorite music venues in the city.” – Roanuk Zaman
Aqua is founded on the notion that the demands of their clients are of paramount significance. Aqua Restaurant & Bar – A Hidden Treasure – Driving along New York Avenue, you wouldn’t see Aqua, but once you’re inside, it’s hard to believe how. An ethnically mixed audience dances to a mix of house, techno, and hip-hop on the large subterranean dance floor, while others relax in the separate drinking and eating room. To say that you should dress to impress is an understatement: don’t forget your pimp coat and fedora.
