“Hunan Village is an institution on Grand Ave. They’ve been serving delicious, generously portioned Chinese food for decades and still manage to keep their quality up. We regularly order too much food and take it to-go to eat for days after. Our typical dishes include fish & broccoli, salt n pepper fish or tofu, braised tofu, sizzling rice soup, vegetarian pot stickers, shrimp fried rice or chow mein, and crispy noodles, Mushu pork, sautéed spinach, and sometimes honey walnut prawns. Definitely do not sleep on the dry fried chicken wings. Best in town.” – George D.

“Overall, I had a very nice time at Peony Seafood Restaurant. The food awakened my inner Chinese self. The rice jook was rich and creamy, filled with chunks of pork and aged eggs. The chicken feet were difficult to eat and pick up. I preferred the warm chicken feet to the cold, slimy ones. I liked the veggies topped with tofu skin. My favorite dish was the roast pork.” – Julian G.
