“Had an early lunch and I think was the first customer of the day. Really nice service and some of the best Chinese food I’ve had in a while. The star of the day was the Orange Peel Beef. Just perfect. One of the best versions I have ever had. We also loved the whole shrimp roasted with garlic and pepper, Kung Pao Squid, and BBQ Pork Fried Rice. But the winner was the orange beef. Lam’s Kitchen is a Chinese noodle shop in Honolulu’s Chinatown that is operated by a family, specializing in beef chow fun, won ton min, Cheong fun rolls, and beef flank and tendon look fun. The family missed the nostalgic taste of beef flank steak from Guangdong, China, after relocating to Hawaii. They wanted to convey the original flavor and texture of the fun to everyone in Hawaii. In 2002, the family opened Lagoon Chinese Restaurant near the airport, which was its first restaurant. They were able to open their second family restaurant, Lam’s Kitchen, in Honolulu’s Chinatown, in 2009 after years of hard work and learning via experience.
