J Crawford’s BooksGood Bookstores in Sacramento

J Crawford’s Books a communal space in Sacramento’s Hollywood Park neighborhood has been an independent used bookstore. Jim and Joyce Crawford, the bookstore’s original proprietors, aimed to stock a wide range of genres, with a focus on mysteries, westerns, romance, and military history.

Sue and Greg Richards, the current owners, set out to turn Crawford’s Books into a community gathering place when they took over in 2018. They knew there was something special that kept attracting them back to Crawford’s Books as long-time customers, and we’re delighted to keep the magic going.
