“Super cool bike shop on Frenchman. We bought two bikes from there a couple of years ago and love them. We have purchased several accessories and are always happy with the product and service. Recently I brought my bike in for a couple of wear a tear issues. They gave it a tune up on warranty. So cool, I bought an awesome bike rack that was expertly and timely installed. I love this place. They also have bikes for rent and a really cool shop dog!.” – Travis Gates

The week of Hurricane Gustav in 2008, Mikethebikeguy, LLC officially opened its doors because it needed to extend its wings. Shane joined the group soon after the business started. RideTHISbike

RideTHISbikeRideTHISbike started because of Hurricane Katrina. After learning about folding bicycles in the 1990s, they reasoned that, in an emergency, folding bikes and automobiles might coexist peacefully, with the bike serving as a backup mode of transportation when gasoline is scarce, etc. As a result, their bicycle shop began as a modest internet retailer selling bikes at fair prices that served as reliable emergency transportation. The French Quarter, the oldest district in New Orleans, is where they now operate a full-service bike store that serves both locals and visitors as well as those who purchase online.
