Intown Bicycles was founded on March 15, 1982, in the back yard of a triplex on North Highland Ave., in a half-burned carriage house. But Mike has been working at bike shops since the 1970s. They ultimately made the transition in 1985. They renamed the business Intown Bicycles and relocated to North Highland, immediately across the street from our apartment.
