Central City BBQ
Central City BBQ is the perfect spot for any size and type of shindig you’re looking to throw. Aaron Burgau, an award-winning chef and owner of Restaurant Patois, and Marc Bonifacic, a third-generation restaurant owner whose grandfather ran a family-owned BBQ shop and passed on his passion and expertise in the art of BBQ’ing to him, formed a lifelong friendship that led to the creation of Central City BBQ.

Walker’s BBQ
Walker’s BBQ is serving all your bbq favorites, ribs, chicken, brisket, and pork, along with delicious sides, like smothered mustard greens and potato salad made in-house daily. Love at First Bite was founded in 1992 by the Walker family, who soon started attending food festivals across the nation. In 2001, they started selling the Cochon de Lait Poboy at Jazz Fest in New Orleans. Walker’s Southern Style BBQ started in eastern New Orleans 11 months before Hurricane Katrina struck. Walker’s quickly reopened after rebuilding alongside the rest of the New Orleans and Gulf Coast region.

“Best bbq hands down it sells out every day after lunch, we told them we can’t catch them before lunch crowd sells them out so they suggested calling in order with your name on it, perfect. They have a back room inside picnic tables for dining really close to Gentilly or the East, right by the levee, great sides, and everything’s excellent. You know how some places have great bbq beans but cole slaw is slacking everything here is great with plenty of sides to choose from. We as locals suggest their brisket.”
Boucherie
Boucherie is a contemporary southern restaurant, offering approachable fine dining. Communities would get together at the start of the more challenging seasons to assist one another in finishing up their seasonal supplies created as a result of the feast made possible by all of the people there. In order to ensure that the rotation of the pigs that made up the celebration could extend through the winter, each household who took part in a Boucherie would take home a share of the hogs slaughtered during the festival.
As in the past, Boucheries are still done as customary small-scale family gatherings and serve as the inspiration for sizable celebrations and festivals all around Southern Louisiana. Liuzza’s by the Track
Liuzza’s by the Track is family-owned and operated since 1996. The 1930s-era structure, which is immediately off Esplanade Avenue and next to City Park, is a historical landmark. Liuzza’s By The Track is a typical neighborhood restaurant in New Orleans. The recipes for the authentic New Orleans classics served at LBTT have been handed down through the generations.
