Smokin’ Barrel BBQ is a family-owned and managed dining experience. Opened in 2016 by Mike and CJ McFarland as a backyard competition, Smokin’ Barrel BBQ has become Central Indiana’s new savory sensation. The McFarland family is community-focused, actively involved in 4H and other church and school groups. Its passion is great food with friends and family. Their menu of tender meats is keto-friendly, with dry rubs that are sugar-free.

All of the meats briskets, pulled pork, ribs, and chicken are smoked low and slow over locally sourced and seasoned wood.

Grilliant Foods was established in 2014 by owner Ernie Verbarg as both a catering company and a competitive BBQ team. At the beginning of 2015, they decided to change directions and expand to a full restaurant and shop. They found a location – a European market and deli – with roots in the community. Not wanting to take away the imported European goods from the central Indiana area, they decided to continue stocking the grocery part while adding their own ability.

Continuing forward, they will also be carrying a variety of goods from local merchants. Everything from coffee, to BBQ rubs, and whatever else they might think of.
