Mabel’s BBQ is Michael Symon’s Cleveland-type barbecue restaurant. It first opened its doors in April of 2016. By adding Bertman’s Ballpark Mustard into the barbecue sauce, employing Eastern European spices, and smoking meat on local fruitwood, Symon intended to develop a style that Clevelanders can call their own, inspired by his respect and passion for a regional barbecue around the United States.
