Shame & Regret
Shame & Regret is the preferred scotch and whiskey bar in Downtown, Colorado Springs. Joe Campana, Matt Baumgartner, and a few too many cocktails are the catalysts for the creation of Shame and Regret. Joe and Matt had discussed the possibility of creating their own bar in Colorado Springs as long-time friends, coworkers, and business partners.
Joe allowed Matt to join his business and realize his dream of owning and operating a bar. They knew exactly what they wanted to create a welcoming “go-to destination” for the community, with a touch of sophistication and plenty of heat. What began as a modest back-alley venue swiftly grew into a popular gothic hideaway, a stylish yet welcoming refuge that has become your new after-work hangout spot.

“This place is awesome! Great vibe and mood. Went out on a limb to try a new restaurant and are glad we did. Called ahead to book for a party of 3 – (online had no availability) and they got us a quick table for 6:15! Yay. The menu is impressive and clever. Ordered hot chicken and waffles, fish and chips, and steak tacos- all tasty! “I had a really great time here! The bar was super clean, the service was great drinks were reasonably priced, and I loved it the music wasn’t so loud that it hurt and you weren’t able to have a conversation. It’s mostly line dancing, and they offer classes a couple of nights a week. The ladies in my group were excited about this! I will return.” – Jess Q.
