Bruegger’s Bagels was founded in 1983, Bruegger’s is famous for its authentic New York-style kettle-boiled and stone hearth-baked bagels, made with only 5 straightforward ingredients. In addition, the Bruegger’s Bagels at 4015 Dodge St in Omaha, NE serves a broad range of proprietary 100% made- in-Vermont cream cheeses, freshly-prepared breakfast and lunch sandwiches, garden-fresh salads, hearty soups, desserts, and custom-roasted coffees and espresso — but the heart of Bruegger’s hasn’t changed. They are still attached to baking authentic New York-style bagels in small batches all day long.
They learned the traditional, customary methods that had made New York famous for bagels such as kettle-cooking the bagels before baking them in a real stone hearth oven. They spent two and a half years working with a professional bagel baker to complete their recipe and process. Then they depart on their mission to introduce the authentic taste of New York-style bagels to the rest of America.
