Northern Clay Center
Northern Clay Center which opened in 1990, Northern Clay Center is now a conventional ceramic arts organization. Through special programs, lectures, symposia, and publications, they attain a national and international audience, as well as a direct audience of regional participants. Plymouth Avenue Art Studio
Plymouth Avenue Art Studio is situated at 2404 Plymouth Avenue North in Minneapolis, MN. The studio first started in 2000 with a mission to help students develop an admiration and understanding of the arts through the creative process and to provide an artistic safe place for young artists to hone their craft. Shirley Jones, MFA has taught art in the public school organization for over 30 years. She finished her Masters of Fine Art (MFA) degree at the Minneapolis College of Art & Design.
Her career has been celebrated with exhibits at the Phipps Art Center, Minneapolis Institute of Art, St. Paul Companies, and the Guthrie Theatre. Presently, much of her time is spent teaching and creating groundbreaking pieces of artwork.

The Atelier Studio Program of Fine Arts
The Atelier Studio Program of Fine Arts concentrates primarily on teaching fine draftsmanship and painting skills leading to the establishment of well-constructed artwork. Chicago Avenue Fire Arts Center
Chicago Avenue Fire Arts Center is a non-profit arts organization that meets a special niche in the Twin Cities. Studio Seven
Studio Seven, the Visual Application Method was developed at Studio Seven in 1992. This technique of teaching breaks down the process of image-making into steps that can be easily implied. This process is heightening and over time their students understanding of composition and technical application increase besides their ability to express their own individuality through color and form. Initially, each student is given a simple understanding of the visual language.
Each student will proceed on their own terms. The teachers at Studio Seven give each student what they want as they need it. Techniques are taught through pictures. They show them, then they watch to make sure that the special technique being taught is understood. In the course of time, their students learn and master many visual application techniques, and consequently as they advance they are able to express their visual ideas independently.
