Dr. Courtney Palmiere earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in hearing and speech sciences at the University of Maryland and her Doctor of Audiology degree from the University of Pittsburgh. She completed her fourth-year externship in the Charlotte area and knew she wanted to make the city her permanent home. Dr. Courtney was personally affected by hearing loss when she helped her grandmother through the process of receiving a cochlear implant.

Once she saw the improvement in her grandmother’s quality of life, it solidified her passion for audiology. She is dedicated to providing quality care and creating lasting relationships with each of her patients.

Dr. Karen Padgett finished her bachelor of science in speech and hearing from Ohio University in 1990. She went on to complete her master’s degree in audiology from the University of South Carolina in 1992. Dr. Padgett practiced with otolaryngologists in Gastonia, NC for 17 years. She was responsible for managing the audiology department, implementing the dispensing of hearing aids, working with local pediatricians to start the universal newborn hearing screening program at Gaston Memorial Hospital, working with the local hearing-impaired classrooms, audiometric testing of all ages, vestibular testing, and electrophysiological testing. Outside of practicing audiology Dr. Padgett is very active with her son.

At that time, her sister was working towards her Master’s Degree in Speech Pathology. Dr. Tracey picked up one of the audiology books and knew then and there she had found her future profession. Graduating from NC State University in 1986, she earned her B.A. in Business Management and Economics.

In 1995, Dr. Tracey graduated from East Carolina University with a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. She completed her Doctorate Degree in Audiology from A.T. Still University in 2007.
